Jakob Urban (* 1997 in Brussels, Belgium) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is based on conceptual and research-based practices. His work spans performance, installation, video, and digital graphics at the transitions and intersections of theory and practice. The projects evolve in response to both the site and context in which they are exhibited, as well as current socio-political issues that shape our social structures.

Often unfolding spatially in the form of installations and performances using found objects, built structures, printed matter, video, and sculptural elements, the work positions itself at the boundaries of art forms, cultural history, and established norms in relation to the production, distribution, and reception of art and media.

He has worked in projects at a.o.
